About Rowing QLD
Rowing in Queensland has a proud history dating back to the 1800's and is the peak body for the administration of rowing activities in Queensland. It conducts, encourages, promotes, advances, controls and administers rowing activities throughout the State via a number of distinct functions, including:
- Administering the rules of rowing
- Registering members
- Educating and developing athletes, Coaches and Boat Race Officials
- Administering the sport's funding
- Representing Queensland Rowing at the national level and with Government
- Conducting and coordinating rowing competition
- Formulating and implementing policies and programs
- Acquiring and managing sponsorships
