Event information

This event has passed.

River City Women's Rowing Club and Rowing Qld are proud to bring you the second ever International Women's Day Row. In to 2019 we will be supporting the extraordinarily worthy cause of Health and Development Aid Abroad's project: Medical Training in Africa (more information and donations can be made here: https://hada.org.au/donation/medical-training-in-africa-asia/).
One of the project's leading surgeons, Dr Barbara Hall, will be present at the event and will speak on behalf of the foundation.

WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Join us at the Somerville Sheds for this free event on the morning of the 7th March for some fun races from the antenna to the pontoon at the shed, culminating in a breakfast of bacon and egg rolls, fruit, muffins, and mimosas, and a great opportunity to connect and catch up with the local rowing community, and donate to HADA (https://hada.org.au/donation/medical-training-in-africa-asia/)

HOW DO I RSVP?
You can enter a full crew, or if you are an individual or would simply like to row with some new faces, let us know and we will put you in a boat (but get in quick because spots fill up fast! RSVP to lucyb@rowingqld.asn.au).

WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO BE WHERE?
If you are coming from your own club shed in the morning, meet at the Antenna before 5.30am.
If you are rowing from the Somerville Shed, please be on site before 5.00am.
If you would simply like to join us for breakfast and contribute to the cause, it should be kicking off from 5:45am.
If you would like to come and help out (in a marshal tinny, cooking on the BBQ, contribute to the breakfast spread) email lucyb@rowingqld.asn.au :)
If you're returning to your own club, don't miss out on breakfast! There's plenty of space to get your boat of the water for a quick mimosa!

WHAT IF I'M TOO FAR AWAY??
If it's a bit too far for you to paddle down in the morning, you are more than welcome to drop your boat at the Somerville Sheds before 7am or between 4:30 and 6pm Wednesday 6th March.

If you can't make it to the event at all but still wish to contribute, please click here https://hada.org.au/donation/medical-training-in-africa-asia/ to donate.
