2024 QLD Grade Championship Regatta

What a weekend! 460 athletes battled it out at Queensland State Rowing Centre for the Queensland Grade Championships as the final regatta of the 2024 calendar.

With challenging conditions, athletes and supporters took it in their stride when racing needed to be suspended due to the heat. Thankfully, with the support of our medics and Inspire Health Services, everyone handled it well, racing continued and the competition was fierce, as crews battled it out to win the Scenic Rim Regional Council Point Score Trophy.  

Congratulations to Commercial Rowing Club on taking the point score win for a second year in a row, with Toowong Rowing Club taking second and Trinity Lutheran College placing third.

Thank you to all our volunteers and BROs who helped make this regatta possible and to our clubs and schools who participated, including Christchurch Boys’ Grammar school, from New Zealand. It was great to see some wonderful sportsmanship amongst the athletes and crews.
