What an incredible week of masters racing at AMRC2024 in Tasmania! Huge congratulations to all our Interstate Teams, with special recognition to the WIS4x for securing 2nd place and WIS8+ for clinching 3rd in their respective races. A shoutout to UQBC for their stellar performance, taking home 1st place in the Women's Masters Club 8+, and to Commercial for their impressive 3rd place finish. Kudos to the lightweight mixed 2x Champion of Champions from Murwillimbah, Toowong, Brisbane, and GPS (and a special mention to Mackay too). UQBC led the medal tally with an impressive 22.6, closely followed by Murwillimbah in 5th place with 17 medals. Even smaller contingents, clubs including Brisbane & GPS, Toowong, Riverway, Mackay, Pine Rivers, Sunny Coast, Cairns, Gold Coast Masters, And, Old Collegians, Grammarians, Tablelands, Vikings, Noosa, Centenary made a significant mark on the medal count.
Special recognition goes to Christine Taylor of Commercial and Kate Dombroski of Toowong, who each took home 12 medals, with several other Queenslanders making outstanding contributions and returning with heavy bags yesterday in particular Justin Rhodes, Kathy Witt, Nadia Vedelago and Jackie De Jong.
Tassie blessed us with fantastic weather throughout the event, and we extend our gratitude to @RowingAustralia and @RowingTasmaniainc for hosting a memorable and fiercely competitive championship. Every race was special, and we loved every moment of it!
