Rowing Queensland are proud to introduce our Queensland State Teams, comprising the Queensland Pathways, Queensland State, and Queensland Masters, who are set to succeed at their respective upcoming championship regattas.
The Queensland Pathways Teams are gearing up for a Brisbane-based camp from April 11th to 13th, followed by the Interstate Regatta at the Sydney Interstate Regatta Center from April 14th to 16th. With an overwhelming number of talented athletes vying for a spot, the selection process was no easy feat. However, we're proud to announce that we've assembled four incredibly strong crews who will train rigorously and represent Queensland with pride in Sydney. Queensland is leading the way in the development of our Pathways program, and the selection of these teams reflects our commitment to nurturing and fostering talent at all levels. As echoed by the Board, "We are building a very strong base of athletes, which is quite an incredible achievement and extremely encouraging."
Our Queensland State Teams are ready for the Australian Championship Regatta from March 18th to 24th at the Sydney International Regatta Centre. The rigorous competition leading to this selection has not only showcased the outstanding skill of our athletes but also highlighted the remarkable depth of talent we have cultivated here in Queensland. As our selectors aptly commented, "We've got great depth, across both the men's and women's squads which is really exciting to see."
Finally, our Queensland Masters Teams, will be prepared to compete at the Australian Masters Championship Regatta from May 8th to 11th at Lake Barrington in Tasmania. Building on the success of our Quads last year, the strong nominations this year have allowed us to form four incredibly robust crews.
Together, these achievements highlight the strength and commitment of our athletes, coaches, selectors, and support staff. Join us in congratulating all our Queensland teams as they proudly represent our state on the national stage.
Go Queenslanders!
