Head Race Season is well under way!

Mackay Rowing Club kicked off the Head Race season with Head of the Pioneer, closely followed by the almost-not-to-be Brown Snake Omnium, helmed by the legends at Old Collegians (how good were those socks!).

This weekend sees QLD's biggest Head Race go ahead with Head of the Brisbane. The unique 9.5km turnaround event will see 453 athletes across 84 boats compete for line honours as well as on-the-spot prizes. Hosts, Toowong Rowing Club, have organised event merchandise as well as a Vendors Market at the start/finish line - see you there!

The Australian Outback Rowing Regatta will see a convoy of athletes and boats from across the state (and the country) towards Longreach and Barcaldine. With both sprint and long distance honours up for grabs, it's an event not to be missed!

With Murwillumbah Rowing Clubs new boat ramp constructed, they are pleased to invite the broader QLD rowing community to join them on the Tweed River for the 2024 Murwillumbah Head. A 5km time trial event that's open to any registered rowing member, where the entry fee includes a drink and sausage sizzle. See the QLD Rowing Calendar for more details.

Last but not least to round out the Queensland Head Race season, we have UQ's Convict Chase on November 2nd. Keep an eye out for entries to open!
