Rowing Queensland Board of Directors update

The Board of Rowing Queensland are excited to announce the following changes to the composition of the Board of Directors following a recent meeting of the board on 24 October.
After joining the Board in July 2024 as an Appointed Director, Angus Blackwood will now move into an Elected Director vacancy, with his term extending until May 2026.
Following a recent external recruitment process, the Board of Rowing Queensland announce two new Appointed Directors, fulfilling Board roles through to May 2025.
Jane Lawson has joined the Board as the current Account Manager with the newest NRL franchise, the Dolphins. Jane has a proven record of successful commercial and sponsorship partnerships in the sports industry across Rugby Union and NRL as well as within the corporate sector. Jane’s rowing background commenced at All Hallows before graduating into youth programs including Queensland Youth Women’s 8+ representation. Jane has been a member of the University of Queensland Boat Club, Toowong & Commercial Rowing Clubs.
Todd Hacking joins the Board as the current Chief Executive Officer of the national advocacy body Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA). Todd and his team deliver the Brisbane Truck Show, which is the largest industry business event held in Brisbane attracting over 40,000 delegates. Todd has extensive experience engaging with all tiers of Government in his advocacy role, as well as understanding the political landscape through lived experience as a former elected Councillor and a political advisor in South Australia. Todd is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts (Politics) and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
