The QSRC Club Regatta:
"Lead-up Racing"
The QSRC Club Regatta in November is on the calendar to create a platform of skill development. It serves as essential stepping stone on the path to the Queensland Grade Championship Regatta, offering participants a chance to fine-tune their abilities, gain valuable race experience on the QSRC bouyed course, and prepare for the final Queensland event of the year.
What Grade:
Group 1
Events are open to all competitors
Group 2
A Single Sculler may enter a Group 2 event if his/her RQS is more than 2.000. In the case of a crew the average RQS for the crew (excluding coxswain) must be more than 2.000.
Group 3
A Single Sculler may enter a Group 3 event if his/her RQS is more than
2.750. In the case of a crew the average RQS for the crew (excluding coxswain) must be more than 2.750.
Group 4
A Single Sculler may enter a Group 4 event if his/her RQS is more than
3.500. In the case of a crew the average RQS for the crew (excluding coxswain) must be more than 3.500.
Group 5
A Single Sculler may enter a Group 5 event if his/her RQS is more than 3.800. In the case of a crew the average RQS for the crew (excluding coxswain) must be more than 3.800.
Score Calculation:
Rowing Score recalculation is based on competition results
Win: = Current Rowing Score -0.2
Loss: = Current Rowing Score +0.04
Schools: School rowers will commence the year with a RGS (Sculling & Sweep) as follows:

Masters Rowers: The RGS (Sculling & Sweep) for Masters age rowers will be assessed by reference to their competitiveness, the same as other rowers, except that:

A Masters age rower who has reached, or will reach within the calendar year, 55 years of age will have a minimum RGS of 3.10 (i.e. top of D Grade); and
-
A Masters age rower who has reached, or will reach within the calendar year, 65 years of age will have a minimum RGS of 3.6 (i.e. top of E Grade).
New members: Newly-registered rowers (other than school rowers) will be assessed and their RGS (Sculling & Sweep) determined as follows:

Where the rower has no previous rowing racing history: RGS = 4.0;

Where the rower has competitive racing history in any state or territory within the last 2 years, each RGS will be the same as for an existing registered rower;

Where the rower raced more than 2 years ago, the RGS will be awarded as follows:

if last raced 2 to 3 years before: each RGS will be 0.5 higher than would have been awarded (following assessment) given their previous competitive level;

if last raced 3 to 5 years before: each RGS 1.0 will be higher than would have been awarded (following assessment) given their previous competitive level; or
-
if last raced five years or more before: each RGS = 4.0.
